As demand increased and equipment grew more complex, floor space became increasingly limited. Their laser cutting machine required several support components \u2014 including gas systems, chillers, spare parts, and tool carts \u2014 all of which were taking up valuable real estate on the production floor.<\/p>\n<p>The company didn\u2019t want to sacrifice workflow or add another building, but they needed a strategic solution to create more space and improve organization within their existing layout.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bp3\"><b>Solution<\/b><\/div>\n<p>We worked with the client to design <a href=\"https:\/\/gz-rack.com\/zh\/\"><strong>a custom steel mezzanine<\/strong><\/a> that could be installed directly over their laser cutting machine. The structure was engineered for both weight capacity and clearance, ensuring safe operation of the machine below while providing a large, stable platform above for storing auxiliary equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Stair access and safety railings were integrated, and the deck was laid out to accommodate everything from gas tanks to tool bins \u2014 allowing the client to organize critical resources in one accessible location, off the main floor. This opened up space for better material flow, staging, and future equipment upgrades.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bp4\"><b>Results<\/b><\/div>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0<strong>Freed Up Floor Space:<\/strong>\u00a0Relocated bulky equipment to an overhead platform, opening up key production zones.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0<strong>Improved Efficiency:<\/strong>\u00a0Streamlined the laser cutting department by reducing clutter and improving access to tools and materials.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0<strong>Cost-Effective Expansion:<\/strong>\u00a0Avoided the need for external storage or building modifications.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0<strong>Safe, Engineered Design:<\/strong>\u00a0Built with the weight and clearance needs of sensitive laser equipment in mind.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0<strong>Future-Ready Layout:<\/strong>\u00a0Left room for additional storage or possible integration with overhead crane systems.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bp5\"><b>Customer Feedback<\/b><\/div>\n<p><em>&#8220;We were out of room and thinking about leasing more space, but this mezzanine changed everything.
