Composition<\/strong><br \/>\nA complete steel platform system consists of deck plates, primary and secondary beams, support columns, inter-column bracing, as well as access ladders and safety handrails.<br \/>\n<strong>2. Classification by Application Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\n(1). Indoor &amp; rooftop platforms<br \/>\n(2).Platforms bearing static loads \/ dynamic loads<br \/>\n(3).Auxiliary production platforms<br \/>\n(4).Medium-duty &amp; heavy-duty operation platforms<br \/>\n<strong>3. Classification by Support Installation Mode<\/strong><br \/>\n(1).Platforms mounted directly on brackets or corbels of factory columns, mostly used as safety walkways or simple medium-duty operation platforms.<br \/>\n(2).Semi-independent platforms: one side supported on factory columns or building walls, with free-standing columns installed on the opposite side.<br \/>\n(3).Equipment-mounted platforms supported directly on large industrial machinery.<br \/>\n(4).Fully self-supporting platforms with independent column frames with no connection to building structures.<\/p>\n<p>For platforms carrying heavy dynamic loads or oversized heavy machinery, a separated design is recommended, with the entire structure supported solely by independent stand-alone columns, isolated from factory building columns.<br \/>\n<strong>Layout Principles of Steel Structure Platforms<\/strong><br \/>\n(1).Comply with production process requirements and reserve sufficient clear space for passage and operation. The minimum clear headroom for walkways shall not be less than 1.8 meters. Safety guardrails with a standard height of 1 meter must be installed around the perimeter of all platforms. For platforms with an elevation exceeding 2 meters, a 100\u2013150 mm high kick plate shall be fitted beneath the guardrail. Access ladders with a minimum width of 600 mm shall be installed for vertical access.<\/p>\n<p>(2).When defining platform planar dimensions, elevation, beam grid layout and column grid layout, apart from operational demands, designers must account for positions of heavy concentrated loads from equipment and suspended large-diameter industrial pipelines.<\/p>\n<p>(3).Platform layout shall follow economical design principles with direct, clear load transmission paths. Beam grid spacing shall match beam span specifications: wider beam spacing is acceptable for longer-span main beams.
