Common Faults & Causes
1. Floor subsidence
Caused by insufficient floor bearing capacity or overloaded goods exceeding the floor’s design limit. Goods storage must strictly comply with the designed load standard.
2. Bent rack beams
Main causes include unreasonable structural design of racks and excessive cargo weight beyond the rated load, which leads to beam deformation under pressure.
3. Unstable rack structure
High-rise racks for AS/RS improve space utilization but are prone to structural instability due to their height characteristics.
4. Rack surface damage
Warehouse racks are susceptible to dampness, rust and dust accumulation. Excessive humidity and dust will contaminate goods, blur labels and affect normal operation. All racks have fixed rated load limits per design standards.
Maintenance & Countermeasures
Rack safety is the key to cargo safety for AS/RS with large-scale storage. Enterprises shall carry out regular daily inspection and maintenance. All discovered rack damages shall be reported and repaired in a timely manner to reduce operational losses. Meanwhile, keep the warehouse ventilated and dry, and clean rack dust regularly.
