| Reputable rack manufacturers adopt high-quality rolled steel such as Baosteel Q235, while inferior suppliers use low-grade steel from small mills. You may verify the steel quality via the following methods:

- Ask the supplier to provide official steel quality certificates and verify their validity.
- Entrust a professional third-party institution to test the mechanical properties of the steel. Qualified Q235 steel features a yield strength of no less than 275 MPa and a tensile strength above 400 MPa.

| 2.Material Thickness & Upright Section Dimensions |
| Some suppliers mislead customers by claiming that a wider front face of uprights means higher strength, while downplaying the importance of material thickness dan side width of uprights. |
- The load-bearing capacity of uprights mainly depends on their cross-sectional area.
- Many suppliers deliver steel plates with thickness below the nominal standard (allowable deviation: 10% per domestic regulations). For example, steel marked 2 mm thick may actually be only 1.8 mm. Widespread thickness shortage will severely undermine the overall structural stability of racks.
- Require manufacturers to provide quality guarantees. Conduct tests on the mechanical properties and chemical composition of the steel, and compare the test results with the certificates.

| 3.Auxiliary Structural Components |
| Some manufacturers cut costs by using substandard materials for secondary parts such as connectors and bracings, even if main components (beams and uprights) meet standards.
These auxiliary parts are critical to the overall strength, rigidity and stability of racks, especially for racks built to seismic requirements. |
- Request the manufacturer to supply professional mechanical calculation reports for the racks.
